CALIFORNIA: Columbia Diggins Tent Town

W H A T :    DIGGINS 1852
W H E N :    June 2-5, Thurs-Sun daytime
W H E R E: Columbia State Historic Park

M O R E : Columbia Gazette

Step back in time to the year 1852 and discover what life was like in a gold diggings encampment!
Over 150 volunteers help recreate this time in history by living the life of a miner, merchant, actor/actress, and more.

As expected, Columbia State Historic Park was the kids highlight of the Memorial Day trip… I still remember that it was a hit without kids too :-) And that’s how we found out about this annual event, marked the calendar!
