Seymour Science Sunday: SquidStraight Talk

W H A T : Science Sunday at the Seymour Center:
SquidStraight Talk about Jumbo Squid: The life history and movements of the Jumbo/Humboldt squid

Traditionally, the Jumbo/Humboldt squid is found in the waters of Chile north to San Diego. Yet, not so many years ago, these large carnivorous invertebrates invaded Monterey Bay, eating Pacific hake, rockfish, and market squid, all important California fisheries. Are they staying? Breeding? Dangerous? Join squid expert Danna Staaf as she attempts to answer these questions, and discusses how these changes effect the marine environment.
