AROUND THE WORLD IN MOVIES: Brilliant Soil

Brilliant Soil is a touching and urgent film that deals with the use of lead-based glazes on pottery from Michoacan and how this toxic element affects the quality of life and health of the artisans. Mexico has a law prohibiting the use of lead glazes but it is not applied, so artisans continue getting poisoned, fueling this serious health problem.
