It explains a lot our experience in Barcelona… 15 years ago it was a fairy tale city and we fell in love with Barcelona… so we came back with kids 10 years ago or so and enjoyed playing in Park Güell, visiting the modernista fairyland, going to the Castell of Montjuic by gondola and to Tibidabo with tram blau, taking the train to Figueres… and missing lots of other places like Palau Güell which was closed for renovation, art and history museums, Museu de la Xocolata… Sweet reason to return… last year… with the medieval theme of our trip we found Barri Gòtic overflowing with tourists… hard to walk… or enjoy… sometimes less is more… we still love Barcelona, but we’ll look more for off the tourist path…
