Take Flight programs are half-day adventures into the world of aviation for elementary-aged students in Grades 1-5. Sessions are scheduled on select weekend and holiday dates throughout the year and include the following:
Hands-on construction of a flying model aircraft
Exclusive behind-the-scenes cockpit explorations in Museum aircraft
A special flight simulation experience in the Flight Sim Zone
Programs meet 1:30 PM-4:30 PM unless otherwise noted. Three different program topics are available during Winter/Spring 2011:

Monday, January 17th
Celebrate the Centennial of Naval Aviation with a special hands-on adventure in flight! Discover the amazing technologies used to land airplanes aboard ships. Build a glider with an arresting system and try to make a table-top landing, and then join the best of the best by completing a challenging simulated landing aboard and aircraft carrier.
