From 21st of January, 2011, onwards, the Computerspielemuseum’s new permenant exhibition about the the cultural history of games shows highlights of the development of this new interactive medium – a process that began more than sixty years ago. Inside the new rooms located in Berlin-Friedrichshain, where once the popular “Café Warschau” has been resided, a 670 square metres big gaming and experimental scenery evolved. Here one can experience historical and future developments of computer and video games. The visitors have the opportunity to go on a journey making them feel as the gaming human of the 21st century, the so-called »Homo Ludens Digitalis«. On the basis of many, often rar original exhibits the fusion of technology, human creativity and gaming will be understandable in a historical sense.
